Through collaborations and projects, over the years the Civic Museum of Modena has made the digital contents on the history of its collections free and easily accessible to the public.

The majority of the images and published information are part of the digital cataloguing project funded by the Istituto per i beni artistici culturali e naturali della Regione Emilia-Romagna (Institute for the artistic, cultural, and natural heritage of the Emilia- Romagna region), pursuant to regional law L.R. 18/2000.
