Activities for adults

Temporarily suspended

The Civic Museum proposes activities for adults with guided tours, events, conferences, courses and participatory projects based on the seasonal programming, the collections and the exhibitions that are underway. The initiatives are aimed at different types of audiences – lovers of archaeological and artistic heritage, enthusiasts, the curious, scholars and researchers, students and teachers – with regularly updated offers that provide opportunities for discovery, sharing, creativity and conviviality.

We recommend consulting our calendar to learn which activities require reservations.

Guided tours
The guided tours are available for discovering both the permanent collections and the temporary exhibitions. To book a tour, call +39 059 203 3101 or send an e-mail to museocivico@comune.modena.it. The date and time can be agreed upon at the time of booking.

Events
Inaugurations and special initiatives are convivial occasions for sharing temporary exhibitions and cultural events (festivalfilosofia, Notte europea dei musei, Notte della musica, Giornata del contemporaneo) in many different ways, such as through theater, music and tastings.

Conferences
The Museum hosts meetings with experts, scholars and other key figures, which provide an opportunity to learn more about current exhibitions.

Courses
Courses in art history and artistic techniques are organized for adults and kids in the late afternoon and evening, in collaboration with cultural associations. They are led by artists, teachers and experts in the field.

Participatory projects
These projects are planned with the aim of involving the public in initiatives ranging from the sharing of cultural heritage, such as intercultural projects, to the personal, creative and original participation of each visitor.

Conventions
These are generally organized in collaboration with other cultural institutions regarding research projects on specific themes in which the Museum is involved.
