Family activities

The Civic Museum proposes and promotes activities designed for children, teens and the whole family. The initiatives are planned for specific age groups, or in ways that guide both adults and kids towards a creative and fun approach to the museum collections.

Games, workshops, tours, tastings and entertainment dedicated to the permanent collections and to temporary exhibitions are enhanced with offers based on important cultural events such as festivalfilosofia (Philosophy Festival), Giornata del Contemporaneo (Day of the Contemporary), Notte Europea dei Musei (European Night of Museums), Notte della Musica (Night of Music), Giornata delle Famiglie al Museo (Family Day at the Museum).

Workshops and demonstrations on experimental archaeology are offered every year during the spring and autumn at the Terramara di Montale Archaeological Park and Open-Air Museum.
